Our founder
Jeff Soto was born and raised in New York City. After several years of working at Apple’s flagship retail store on Fifth Avenue in New York, Jeff had logged several thousand hours working very closely with Apple customers. Much of that time was spent observing how Apple customers interacted with software and what factors determined a customer’s purchase. In 2007 Jeff was offered a position at Apple Inc. to work with an audio test team in Cupertino, California. It was during this time that the iPhone was released, the iPhone SDK was announced, and Jeff’s interest in programming and entrepreneurism was at its peak. In early 2010, after leading audio testing on several successfully Apple projects, Jeff decided to take what he had learned while working at Apple and started Indian Code to fully pursue his passion of developing applications.
Our Name
The name “Indian Code” originates from the code talkers of World War II. Navajo Indians used coded messages to secretly transmit important strategical messages. We’re building off of that idea in the sense that computer code we write (stuff that means nothing to the average person) will have a long-lasting and profound impact on our customers and will clearly deliver our intended message even though our customers will never see a line of our [secret] code themselves.
